a while back I sat up in bed and asked “can we shave petey?” cause I randomly felt the urge to shave him for some reason… cole just looked at me and was like “sure..lemme get my trimmers”
it seemed like a good idea cause it started to get pretty hot during the day.
I wanted him to look like a lion…and I got a lion king :D he was really good while we were shaving him. very still just sat there.

and showing us their sweet moves to the game. I definitely couldn’t even keep up sitting on the couch and watching but it looked like fun.
they played baseball, and boxed, and then later darts. while I hung out with the younger nephew
it was his thing…
since being here i have really realized how much i adore cooking..like ALOT. and trying new foods and new recipes from all sorts of people i freaking LOVE cooking.
the other day i made bottle of pop chops that Meredith riddle gave me. it was mmmm i havent eaten pork in nearly 2 or maybe 3 years and that was the best pork chop ive had.
to go along with that i made corn on the cob and sweet corn cause im not a cob person. and made buttery layered biscuits for the sides. that will be a recipe i use again for sure :)
ive also made my potato tacos with extra mexican cheese this time and they were a hit. im glad i can cook for these guys and they like it.
made cookies that i think i was the only one to eat but they were peanut butter chunky cookies….
they didnt burn so i dont know why 2 guys who like peanut butter didnt eat them… but thats ok. more for me.
ive also made garlic/onion chicken breast. (these guys say its moist and better than normal) not complaining there.
cole likes his with EXTRA cheese can you tell? :)
i like cooking for them. its fun. especially when they come in from working on the room for a lunch break. “whats cooking? enough for me? that smells yummy” something like that.
this year and just like every year jessica has some wicked cool party idea up her sleeve. this year, it was a black light party. and i must say it was
and yes she shined. :) or well i guess glowed :p
me sam cody and braden all road down in sams car and when i walked down the drive way i got hugged and painted up at the same time…and yes….it was a BLAST.
Jessica and Josh ( her bestie ) hung white sheets up everywhere and painted them with glow in the dark paints and the floor too got painted…although not intentionally. so everyone was slippin and sliding but that all added to the fun :)

still in progress but getting done faster and faster as the time goes on…a room is being built. not just any room but me and coles mini suite.

even got some paint samples and we are ready to move in… haha if only it was now. but soon enough carpet. and decorations and maaaaaaybe some girly touches….
12th night ball – large party for reenactors mostly usually 12 days after christmas.
it seems each year keeps getting bigger and then theres a dip where it gets smaller and then 2 or 3 years in a row it gets bigger and bigger. its probably one of the most fun dances ive been too. and it helps hold together a person whos craving an event. oh how I dearly HATE the off season
its never a dull moment (:
dont mind the derby thing…although it indeed was a season kickoff party for reenactors and the few civis who come back every year to party the right way :p
i dont think i could ever get tired of this party…
sometimes i think we have more fun sitting around the table and listening to people and the music and talking than we do dancing. every year theres always new people and always the same people. but it never gets old.
