life is busy

Since I got married I have noticed many different things and am becoming more understanding of my family and the way things were while growing up. I have a new found respect for my parents and want to strive to be as good as they were to us kids while growing up.

My parents have always been very humble and loving people and I want to be able to pass that down to my future children and to those who are a part of my life. We haven't always had it easy and its been a stressful bumpy road (since I was going thru school and now that I'm on my own) but they have always been there and are always willing to help when they can. I can only hope that one day soon I can return the favor and help them out when needed.

family

my parents have always tried to provide for us children and give us kids what we have asked for. In a way we were kind of spoiled but we all also had to work for what we got, so I guess we earned what we got. Whether it be gas money or a new laptop or something as small as eating out at the local fast food place.

since I got married I now understand where people say that the first year of married life is the hardest. and its proving to be true… even though I have been on my own for 2 years and living with my husband for both of those, its been hard to catch up on bills, gas, and food when our paychecks don’t line up. but thankfully only 5 months into being married things are starting to get to the point where we can catch up and maybe start some saving.

Ill admit I am not the best person when it comes to money. and I don’t always plan for the unexpected but im learning quicker and quicker every time.

Enough about that heres some updates:

Ru Bug is getting HUGE. Getting taller than Angel every day and when those growth spurts happen you can definitely tell.

I may post many photos of these crazy things on facebook and now all over my blog but for the time being they are my children. and ill plaster them everywhere because im proud of the goofy playful furbabies they are.

Been married to this lovely man of mine :

for now 4 months and 12 days. and since we got married things have been so much nicer. I used to always fight and complain and be a real pain in the ass. and ill admit that I wasn’t always the most pleasant person to be in the same room with. (thank you mom and dad for putting up with me!!) but since we said “I do” I have been so much happier and things are just so much simpler. :]

I love him more than he knows. and I am happier than a chunky kid with a king sized chocolate bar.

I may be bragging but I have the right to. its my blog. :)

I have grown a bigger family with his side. and the bond I'm trying to build is becoming something I wouldn’t want to lose. I have beautiful nephews and a niece. and I love them and their families.

ive always been a sucker for large families. always been something nice. and its nice to have someone to talk to. as you can see I cam from a family of talkers, as I ramble on.

in my future I hope to have a large family of my own.

I also see me going through the same struggles I see as I watch my favorite characters on “2 broke girls” trying to get their cupcake business off the ground and going. I am trying to get my jewelry off the ground and going. but sadly I get sidetracked and wanna just keep adding more stuff to my list of things I wanna make and sell. just a crafty person wanting to do more.

trying to make a name for myself is harder than it seems when you see people who are doing the same going places and your still stuck trying to sell from home or sell in general. gets discouraging. I love the few customers who were returning customers.. and I felt better about myself when I was able to hand out some cards to those at work or to random strangers.

christmas 2012

I must admit, when I first started dating cole and he told me that he never held a new born baby before and didn’t want to till it was his own, I thought it was a little weird. but as I grew to know him it became something sweet and wonderful that he would want to hold his own child at such a young age.

this year when his grandma held her christmas, a week before, everyone was over at her house. our niece Kannyn was crawling around and getting around the house real well. Cole was in the kitchen and she was headed his way. she crawled over to him, pulled herself up on his pant leg and wanted him to hold her. he hadnt held her since she was born. he picked her up and I thought my heart shattered with sweetness and goodies. it made me giddy inside to see him hold her.

his mom (in the background) was happy to see him finally hold her too!

sorry the photo isnt the best. took it with my phone.

Kannyn had gotten a new toy that year too. a little scooter. she didn’t like to play on it too well. but her cousin nathan sure did!

my 21 birthday november 29 2011

never posted about it. and im sure many really don’t care. but its my blog diary and im going to blurt all about it!

I don’t remember much of the day. but that night cole took me to my first ever bar after going to dinner.

my first drink of being 21 was a margarita…must say…not a fan. far too salty and bland. then we headed across the street to the bar. there wasn’t hardly any one in the bar. was nice it was still early enough we caught the just off work crowd.

I tried all sorts of things. cherry bombs. jello shots. draft beer. and any other sorts of drinks they set in front of me.

im already not a fan of jello in of itself. so doing the jello shots was not easy on me. so cole decides he wants to show me how to really do it. apparently my face was priceless because I made him choke and nearly die so he says. haha

November 2012–hes one crafty man

what's better than a man who can cook? a man who's good with wood and a hammer. we upgraded from a metal frame and a queen size, which was lets face it, too small for 3 of us. (me him and our lovely fur ball)

we didn’t want to have to pay for a new frame and had so much spare wood laying around he designed a new bed frame. hes wonderful!

living room tear down–all November 2012

we are slowly but surely redoing this house. from the inside out one room at a time. lets give you a bit of a background information on this house. its well over 100 years old. the main part of the house is so old there's coal dust in the walls and ceiling. our insulation in the walls is shredded news paper and straw. yes that’s what it is. and the walls alone are built the old but sooo very cool tongue and groove style boards. (personally wish we could have refinished it and kept it that way). the floors are REAL hardwood floors. the good stuff…before it was smooth and fancy. (also wish we could keep those, though that’s not looking too good. we will see)

so November my father in law (to be) decides lets tear this place down and remodel. its modern now. sadly the walls aren't the pretty wood id like. but its getting more and more energy efficient as we go along this very long ever going journey.

054

heres how the living room looked before the tear down. ugly fake wood paneling. that couch is thankfully in the garbage. (also in the process of updating furniture)

stuff 2012 140

see those 2 x 4’s ? THOSE are really 2 x 4’s! not factory cut not smooth. and rock hard!

stuff 2012 136

shot of the ugly wood paneling on the right side of the picture. which is now covered in drywall. the insides? that’s our insulation I told you about. newspaper and straw. and that wall on the other side? that would be our outside wall. if I hit that with a hammer…wed have a whole looking into our driveway! haha

stuff 2012 138

lots of debris…just went onto the plastic on the floor. the walls that once were are out on the front lawn getting ready to be burned.

stuff 2012 134

Cole working on sucking out the insulation with the shop vacuum.

we now have proper pink panther like insulation in our walls and dry wall to make the house look a bit more modern. sorry I don’t have any updated photos but maybe in another post.

it was really a fun day sucking out the old stuff and breaking down the wall with a hammer. honestly wish we could open up the drop ceiling and expose the 10foot ceilings we have. what a wonderful opportunity for an old time cast iron chandelier or some beautiful lighting of some sort. ( ill some day have a very primitive rustic house!!)

who doesn’t love muffins?

especially homemade from scratch muffins with yummy fruit inside them? crazy people.

look at how yummy these are?

October 28 2012–Earl and his metal detector

Coles work friend Earl came out with his son and their metal detectors to search our yard. I think they all had a pretty good time. lots of different things found from coles family that owned the house. and also stuff that was here before his family. possibly a storage building by the looks of all the padlocks they had found.

cole followed them around and even had the chance to get to try it out himself!

october 10 20122–new shoes baby!

cole had ordered some new fancy reenacting shoes and when he got them he had to try them on.059

october 15 2012–needing a new starter

hadnt even had our car more for than 6 months and it gave out on us. yes it wasn’t a brand new car but for us it was. thankfully we figured out what was the problem. the starter. and it was amazing news when we found out we could fix it ourselves for under $200

I just had to capture some shots of him working on the car… so hear it is 2 or 3 hours after he got off work we came and fixed the starter.

unfortunately here the current date of january 2 2013 and we need to fix something else like the breaks or something…just never seems to end.
