this year Massac I camped away from my family and with the natives. it was a lot of fun and I became closer friends with some of them. Cole spent the week before preparing a way to make us a shelter. we had planned on having a real nice big warm wigwam but our plans to cut bamboo fell through so we had to come up with something last minute.

Meagan decided about a month or so before the event that she wanted to be the unit drummer. and I must say that with little time for practice she was AMAZING!

and out onto the battle field
on sunday mom and cherylls husband got captured and held. mom tried to get away by trying to steal a sword and hold it out against the french. she ended up falling.
my friend Kat from Toulouse came out for the weekend too. was good to see her before she left for her cruise job.
